Shield Pest Solutions was founded in 2012 by Marcus and Elena Reyes, two Austin natives who were frustrated by pest control companies that treated homes as transactions rather than families. They set out to build something different — a locally owned operation where technicians actually care about the outcome, not just the invoice.

What started as a two-person operation out of a pickup truck has grown into a team of 14 licensed technicians serving over 2,400 Austin households. But the values haven't changed: honest assessments, fair pricing, and treatments that work the first time.

We live here. Our kids go to school here. We eat at the same restaurants and shop at the same markets as our customers. That's not a marketing line — it's why we hold ourselves to a higher standard than the national chains that don't have a stake in this community.

Marcus has 14 years of field experience and holds a TDA Commercial Applicator license with endorsements in termite control and wood-destroying insects. He personally handles all termite inspections and complex infestations.

Senior Technician — 8 Years

Jordan specializes in rodent exclusion and bed bug elimination. His meticulous approach to finding and sealing entry points has earned him a near-perfect customer satisfaction rating over his eight-year career with Shield Pest.

Alicia joined Shield Pest after completing her biology degree at UT Austin. Her scientific background gives her a deeper understanding of pest biology and behavior, resulting in treatments that target the root cause rather than symptoms.
